CYCHI Annual Hamilton Island Golf Day

Participant Waiver & Acknowledgement

By registering for and participating in the Cruising Yacht Club of Hamilton Island (CYCHI) Ambrose Golf Day ("the Event"), I acknowledge and agree that:

1. Participation at Own Risk
   I understand that golf and associated event activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury from golf clubs, golf balls, golf carts, slips, trips, falls, weather conditions, and other participants.

2. Fitness to Participate
   I declare that I am physically capable of participating in the Event and will exercise reasonable care for my own safety and the safety of others.

3. Compliance with Venue Rules
   I agree to comply with all directions issued by event organisers, golf course staff, and venue management, as well as all applicable course rules and safety requirements.

4. Personal Responsibility
   I accept responsibility for my own actions and any personal property brought to the Event. CYCHI and the venue are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

5. Release of Liability
   To the maximum extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless the Cruising Yacht Club of Hamilton Island Inc., its officers, volunteers, sponsors, and event organisers from any claim, liability, loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from my participation in the Event, except where such liability cannot be excluded under Australian law.

6. Medical Treatment
   In the event of illness or injury, I authorise event organisers to seek appropriate medical assistance on my behalf if required and acknowledge that any associated costs remain my responsibility.

7. Photography & Media Consent
   I acknowledge that photographs and video may be taken during the Event and consent to CYCHI using such images for promotional, marketing, historical, and reporting purposes without compensation.

8. Alcohol Consumption
   Where alcohol is available, I agree to consume it responsibly and comply with all venue requirements and responsible service of alcohol laws.

9. Cancellation & Weather
   I acknowledge that the Event may be modified, postponed, or cancelled due to weather, course conditions, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond the organisers' control.

By completing my registration, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to this waiver and acknowledgement.
