Membership
The CYCHI membership year starts 01 September and ends 30 August.
Your Cruising Yacht Club of Hamilton Island Inc (CYCHI) membership must be finacially current before participating in any on-water sailing activities, race management, learn-to-sail programs, or other volunteering activities conducted by CYCHI.
Maintaining a current membership ensures you are covered by Australian Sailing Personal Accident Insurance and CYCHI insurance policies.
Membership Categories and Fees
โ Full Membership $180 per year;
- Race in the CYCHI Twilight Series.
- Entitles the member to stand for election to and be elected to serve or appointed to serve in an office bearing position under the CYCHI Constitution.
- Voting rights at the CYCHI Annual General Meeting.
- Eligible to fly CYCHI burgee and display CYCHI lettering on stern of vessel.
- Australian Sailing Personal Injury Insurance.*
- Benefits provided through affiliation with Australian Sailing.
- Auto entry to the weekly members cash prize draw at every Twilight Series Race Presentations. The cash prize jackpots if winner not in attendance.
โ SailPass $25 per sail;
- Temporary pass used per sail. It is commonly used by casual crew, visitors, and people trying sailing before committing to a Full Membership.
- You can purchase 3 introductory sails @ $25 per SailPASS. There is a maximum of 3 x SailPass per CYCHI Twilight Series or CYCHI Regatta.
- Australian Sailing Personal Injury Insurance*
Note: These memberships do not not allocate you to a boat.

- Above membership categories include automatic cover Personal Injury Insurance for any current financial members of the Cruising Yacht Club of Hamilton Island who are injured whilst participating in a sanctioned race, training, or fundraising event.
- SailPass holders are covered on sanctioned race days or in an accredited Australian Sailing Discover Sailing course.
